DLB Associates is seeking team-oriented, highly motivated Mechanical Commissioning Engineers . This position is well suited for someone seeking a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment.
The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer will work with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel to test, validate, make operational, optimize new installed and operational systems in large scale 24x7 mission critical mechanical plants.
Working on projects for some of today's most innovative technology companies, the successful candidate will join DLB and be part of a highly skilled and dynamic team contributing to program enhancements, solutions, and best practices designed to achieve "best in industry" equipment performance and operations.
The Commissioning Engineer in this position will participate in design reviews, factory witness testing, system sequence development, procedure development, field testing / validation, reporting, and operations support.
Ideal candidates can be based out of Northern Virginia, Columbus, OH, Salt Lake City, UT, Dallas, TX, or Oregon and surrounding areas. Candidates in other locations will be considered as well. Responsibilities
This position requires frequent travel to sites throughout the US and abroad and provides the opportunity to interface directly with client personnel at state-of-the-art mission critical facilities. This dynamic position includes the following responsibilities:
Procedure development Functional testing of large HVAC systems
System and equipment troubleshooting
Proactive problem identification and resolution
Observing startup activities / management of vendors
Test data collection and presentation
Commissioning and other report contribution / development
Daily interaction with management team
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
Field experience in the hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of large HVAC systems
Large cooling plant design and testing experience
Field supervision experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency including MS Office Suite
Touch typing skills preferred; ability to effectively and quickly communicate using the computer
The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively
Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
BSME degree preferred but will substitute significant years of experience for exceptional candidates.This experience would include commissioning or designing of large HVAC systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical processes or laboratory clean rooms.
