Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Testing Specialist. The Testing Specialist position is located in the Division of Innovative Learning and Academic Support. This is a Part-Time position in which we have two openings. This position is open for recruitment until filled.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience at a testing center; Experience as a classroom instructor
Job Concepts
Responsible for coordinating all services offered by the Testing Center including but not limited to administering testing (both common and accommodated), processing test results, updating records with official scores, maintaining testing files, preparing statistical reports, and providing information related to the effectiveness of the testing instruments currently used. Also responsible for creating and maintaining an environment conducive to testing that is focused on student success and excellent customer service.

Specific duties include the following:

Administers placement tests to all students attempting to enroll at BRCC; Administers national and state exams such as HiSET, CLEP, Work Keys, DSST, and others
Coordinates and administers college assessment program; Establishes and updates student assessment records in the computer-based system
Establishes and implements procedures related to testing and assessment based on BRCC policies and procedures and regulations of state and federal agencies.

Provides information to faculty, staff and students regarding testing procedures, test instruments and test results?
Collaborates with other units in the Division of Innovative Learning and Academic Support on issues related to testing, assessment, test creation and analysis, and student success and engagement.
Coordinates all activities related to maintaining a proctored environment in accordance with our SACS COC accreditation plan; includes providing training, reviewing proctoring software (lock-down browser, etc.) and generating reports to faculty and staff related to this area.

Builds and maintains a database of available tests, computer form numbers, test results and statistical data; provides analysis and reports as required.

Provides accommodated testing services for BRCC students using the Testing Center.
