Accounting Assistant

Part-time

Verifies the receipt and entry of vendor credits for returns and unauthorized charges

Audits freight bills against freight manifests.
Answers all vendor inquiries.
Prepares accounts payable checks.
Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
Assists in monthly closings.
Additional administrative duties will be assigned by Accounting Manager

Computer Skills:
Experience with QuickBooks and Excel required

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
  • Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
  • Data entry experience
  • Command of job costing
  • Accounts payable experience
  • Account reconciliation experience preferred
