Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking full-time Crisis Clinicians for our new Crisis Treatment Center. The Crisis Clinician provides office-based, face-to-face assessment and intervention for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis. Clinicians work on an interdisciplinary treatment team in order to de-escalate the crisis. This is a 24/7 program with scheduling options including weekends on day, evening or overnight shifts, or Mon-Fri overnights.
Conducts lethality assessments with mental status examinations, diagnostic, and clinical formulations reflective of relevant developmental, cultural and family systems issues and emergency assessment practice standards.
Determines overall lethality risk and develops appropriate dispositions which includes specific referrals, follow-up care, and a plan for safety appropriate to the level of risk.
Assesses individual’s needs and identifies necessary services and supports. Participates in daily huddles and treatment planning.
Provides, along with other crisis center team members, interventions to avoid unnecessary hospitalization or incarceration.
Works to stabilize individuals as quickly as practical and supports them in returning to their pre-crisis level of functioning.
Provides individual short term psychotherapy and group therapy as indicated.
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field required.
Eligibility for NH License as LCMHC, LICSW or Psychologist required.
Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance required.
Training in crisis intervention services, risk management, assessment of suicide potential and integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders preferred.
2 years of experience in mental health service provision preferred.
