Project Assistants work with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to assist with facility maintenance projects from beginning to end, ensuring that all projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. A Project Assistant acts as a support role in a team-oriented environment. An understanding of the construction business is helpful, but not required.

Project Assistants need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working independently. The ability to motivate others and keep them on task in a positive and encouraging manner is also a must-have skill in this position.


  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Project Coordinators and team to maximize productivity
  • Complete any necessary tasks set by Project Managers, Project Coordinators and team in a timely manner
  • Organize and monitor site visit schedules and see that deadlines are met
  • Source subcontractors for specific jobs
  • Coordinate efforts within the team and with outside consultants efficiently
  • Report updates to management (daily, weekly and monthly reporting)
  • Demonstrate commitment to customers’ needs


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn construction/ project management/work order management software
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
  • Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer service
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving
