What You’ll Do:

Develop focused and elevated strategies in the US to increase brand awareness, exposure and editorial coverage for Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors brand lines, including seasonal campaigns and brand initiatives for short lead and digital press outlets.

Work closely with worldwide press office to plan seasonal communications strategies that coincide with worldwide initiatives, including press presentations, pitching stories about the brand, key products and full-page editorials.

Partner closely with US Events team to produce fashion shows, re-sees and press presentations seasonally for Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors.

Develop and maintain healthy working relationships with top editors both in the luxury and contemporary spaces at US-based digital and online outlets, plus social media contacts at editorial outlets for amplification of brand moments (credits, features, event coverage, fashion show, etc.).

Assist VP of US Communications and US PR & Events Director with pitching of corporate and CSR communications initiatives for US-based media.

Concept and execute press strategies for brand special projects, including but not limited to: brand books, viral videos, personal appearances, store openings, annual fashion shows as well and promoting various experimental/experiential mediums and formats to ensure brand relevance in the increasing competitive marketing/communications space.

Work with US retail and event teams on localized strategies to create buzz and awareness, and ultimately drive traffic to retail doors.

Develop, maintain and present measuring systems of growth for both MMK and MKC press.

Create strategic Seasonal PR Sample Orders for Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors brands.

Act as a PR liaison with Global Social Media team to amplify all US-based initiatives, activations, and editorial credits on owned social media channels. Create and execute strategies for all social media related initiatives to marketing/social media press.

Act as a point person for department processes (expenses, invoices, budget, company policies, etc.). Oversee multiple departmental budget lines, including processing and approving invoices.
You’ll Need to Have:

Bachelor’s Degree required
-
2-4 years of public relations experience and editorial experience
-
Experience in managing budgets
-
Experience in the retail/luxury market
-
Established industry/editorial relationships
-
Ability to work in NYC office 4x per week

Compensation Range:
$75,000.00-$125,000.00
