HCC is currently seeking a Business Analyst, PeopleSoft II, who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.
The Opportunity
You: A problem solver at heart, you enjoy working with both business processes and technology, and it brings you great joy to see people and systems working in harmony.
Your mission: Perform business-process analysis for functional development and implementation of PeopleSoft (HRs, Finance and Student Administration).
A typical day: You may be creating, exporting and filtering information to make it user friendly, or producing query reports. Providing subject-matter expertise for implementations, enhancements and upgrades will be a frequent activity for you, as will developing test cases and collaborating with technicians, programmers and database analysts to run those tests and ensure that business processes are operating correctly.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in HRs, Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Management or a relevant field, or four (4) years directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years experience in the use of personal computers (including client-servers/ Web) for business (functional) applications, including experience in the assigned business function.
Work experience in higher education institution or community college environment is preferred.
One (1) year of Business Analyst experience required.
PeopleSoft or UPK system experience in assigned function preferred.
Experience in facilitating training classes and utilization of UPK software preferred.
HCCS experience highly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Must be well organized, able to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent tasks, and be able to manage sensitive personnel information in a confidential manner
Ability to function independently on project work and to interface with all levels of the HCCS organization in carrying out the duties of this position required
Excellent written and oral communication skills required
Knowledge of all functional areas within assigned function.
Ability to organize data in a clear and logical manner for reporting purposes required
Ability to analyze and evaluate complex information from internal and external sources, required
Proficiency with Windows and all Microsoft Office software required
