Communications Writing Intern

Vectorworks, Inc. is looking for a versatile, hard-working, and talented intern who can craft compelling copy that attracts attention and supports our brand. Our intern will learn about content creation, receive hands-on mentoring, and write copy for a wide variety of communications, public relations, and marketing materials. If you like to geek out about grammar and have friends who always send you their papers to review before turning them in, then we want you!


In this role, you should expect to:
Write case studies, emails, blog posts, white papers, and e-newsletter articles, as well as communications about company products, events, and industry news
Assist subject matter experts to develop compelling content that enhances our brand voice and connects us to customers
Research relevant industry, product, and partnership topics to extend Vectorworks' reach as an industry resource and brand
Review and edit content written by other team members
Assist with social media and public relations efforts
Ensure branding standards are consistent and maintained across writing assignments.
Work collaboratively on a global team, manage communication requests, coordinate schedules, and meet tight deadlines

A GPA above 3.0
A desire to tell stories while communicating effectively using various tones
Previous experience in content creation and editing that aligns with AP Style
Excellent communication skills and writing capabilities
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure content aligns with our style guide
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
An ability to show initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
A positive attitude and willingness to work with the team to achieve goals

Eligibility requirements for internships:
Internships requires working a minimum of 16 hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week
You must be at least 18 years of age, enrolled in an undergraduate program entering your junior or senior year, enrolled in a graduate program, or a recent graduate (no more than 6 months upon graduation)
This is a paid internship and compensation will be based on applicant's qualifications. We currently do not provide housing, relocation, or transportation reimbursement
Interns are not eligible for company benefits

Summer: June 3 - Aug 23
