Job Purpose:
The Production Utility-Specialty is responsible for Specialty production in weighing out production as per customer expectations. The Production Utility-Speciality will also be cross trained for competency in all positions and must be flexible to work any shift as designated by management in support of production goals as needed.

Essential Functions:
  • Accurately weigh out ingredients with a high level of attention to detail to meet quality requirements.
  • Add the appropriate amount of ingredients into the blender to produce the customer specified products.
  • Control the flow of material from the sifter into a box or drum ensuring that the proper weight is achieved for each type of container.
  • Filled containers are properly sealed, closed, labeled and transferred to a pallet for wrapping then transferred to the warehouse for storage before it is shipped to the customer.
  • Assemble the boxes that will be filled with finished products.
  • Record any and all deviations in procedure and/or appearances on the batch sheets.
  • Produce required products according to the production schedule.
  • Maintain accurate daily production and inventory records.
  • Perform job duties in compliance with safety programs for all plant equipment and personnel.
  • Provide samples throughout the production process for the lab to ensure that quality specifications are met at all times.
  • Maintain accurate daily production and inventory records.
  • Responsible for following all good manufacturing practices, applicable HACCP principles, laws and statutory regulations/guidelines in alignment to ISO 17025, monitoring CCPs, sanitation record keeping to promote and ensure a safety culture.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organizations objectives.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years production/factory experience required
  • Proven excellent problem solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter, team player and excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with ISO22000, OSHA and HACCP.
  • Food industry experience preferred.
