Summary
Reporting to the Contracts Coordinator, the Job Coach is responsible for providing support in assisting the supported employee maintain a job or position on Custodial contract crew; to take care of a building and carry out cleaning and maintenance of assigned contract sites; on-the-job training and/or supervision to workers with disabilities; ensure that employees maintain all work standards applicable to the position; and assist employees in maintaining the daily work routine. The title for this position is Job Coach. However, this is a Maintenance position, which means you will be responsible for cleaning facilities, cleaning offices and cleaning restrooms in local, state and federal government facilities. You will also be responsible for cleaning high-level windows, requiring a ladder to reach the windows. Please apply if you have experience handling these duties and responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Acceptable criminal background check
Proof of freedom of tuberculosis
Certificate of good health
Valid United States driver’s license with no more than 3-points
Medium Work: Must have the ability to lift, carry and/or exert force up to 50-pounds occasionally, up to 20-pounds frequently and/or up to 10-pounds constantly to move objects. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and pushing. Must be able to climb ladders to high clean fixtures.
Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly and fluently.
Must be able to use a computer/tablet to enter data.

Responsibilities:
Provide support involved in assisting the supported employee maintain the job or position on contract crew.
Provide on-the-job training and/or supervision to workers with disabilities who can perform the cleaning duties outlined above in the Summary, as well as ensure the following:
Ensure that employees maintain all work standards applicable to the position;
Assist employees in maintaining the daily work routine;
Organize and assist employees with work materials;
Promote courtesy when interacting with customers; and
Promote socialization skills with the various job site coworkers.
Provide support involved in helping workers with disabilities maintain their position by doing the following:
Assisting employees with personal hygiene issues;
Assisting employees with any medical issues;
Provide on-the-job training for employees,
Assisting employees in exhibiting appropriate work behaviors and
Addressing inappropriate behaviors.
Provide supervision and programming to workers with disabilities at work and while at the Hillandale Center;
Participate in Team Meetings to develop and implement an Individual Plan (IP) for the supported employee to include the following:
Participate with the interdisciplinary team in matching the employee strengths to the job needs;
Completing paperwork necessary for ITM’s;
Maintaining records of work performed by the management of the sites,;
Maintaining accurate attendance information;
Informing parents and other team members about the daily progress and any scheduling changes;
Writing and implementing vocational goals, and
Implementing behavioral program plans (as needed).
Promote positive public relations between CHI Centers, the employer, and the community to include the following:
Informing the employer of any issues or planned absence;
Provide transportation to supported employees as necessary, and
Attend in-services and other required meetings;
Attend and complete all CHI Centers and DDA required training within established deadlines;
Provide transportation to the participant as needed.
Assure the privacy of participant information by appropriately limiting disclosure of Protected Information to those who are directly responsible for the treatment and administration of the participant.
Store, handle and share Protected Information in accordance with CHI Centers policies and HIPAA regulations;
Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Director of Supported Employment or the CEO.
