Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for an DevOps Supervisor in our Information Technology Department for our Columbus, OH location.
Our DevOps Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
Hire, mentor, coach, and supervise a team of DevOps engineers.
Create, document, improve, and oversee administration of DevOps practices and processes.
Stay abreast of all DevOps engineers, their projects, and prioritize statuses.
Instill a culture of innovation and automation amongst the DevOps team.
Champion the DevOps culture within IT.
Lead a team that helps support the company’s application suite via break/fix support, code deployments, trend analysis, and ensuring scalability.
3+ years of DevOps Supervisor or related experience and demonstrated understanding of DevOps processes and tools.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills. E.G. Excellent communicator and collaborator.
Experience creating workflow diagrams.
Experience creating, documenting, and owning processes.
Experience with integration, automation and cloud technologies.
Experience in creating scalable solutions.
Extensive experience in application development with C# (or a similar language).
Very strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, including being able to create and optimize stored procedures.
Proficient with Windows operating systems and Office tools.
Strong project management skills, including how to work with deadlines and how to estimate the duration of a project.
Ability to effectively communicate with direct reports, co-workers, supervisors, managers, sales representatives, and outside vendors.
Must have a “can-do” attitude.
Is flexible to work outside of normal business hours.
This position requires the execution of an Employment Agreement contract between Kimball-Midwest and the employee.
This job requires troubleshooting and collaborating with product developers and operations engineers, as well as other members of the IT Department.
Must have ability to effectively pivot tasks and multitask.
