Anchor QEA, an environmental science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Junior-Level Engineer in our Portland office location.
This engineer will have 0 to 4 years’ experience working on sediment remediation, dredging, waterfront projects or related source control projects. A B.S. degree in civil or environmental engineering, or related field, is required, a master’s degree is preferred. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and desire to work towards professional engineering (PE) licensure is also preferred. Hands on field investigation and/or construction experience are desirable. An understanding of or experience with contaminated sediments, river, and estuary restoration, dredging and disposal projects, production of design plans and specifications, construction cost estimating, as well as a familiarity with NPDES regulations and permits, would be beneficial. A willingness to work on a variety of tasks, an ability to work independently, and strong written and verbal communication skills, are a must. Travel to temporary field assignments will be required and may involve out of state travel as we have projects across the United States.
