Under the supervision of the practice manager, the office coordinator ensures smooth operations for all office functions and monitors daily fulfillment of office personnel in their duties.
This highly organized and experienced employee’s daily functions include but are not limited to: overseeing insurance verification, and commercial insurance and Medicaid contracted rates; determine and collect surgery deposits and patients’ outstanding balances; manage billing reports; investigate to confirm insurance eligibility and research baby name accounts. Billing responsibilities include entering surgery and medical record charges and back up billing. The office coordinator is the back up for multiple positions in the office and assists practice manager with work flow and other duties as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested by physician or manager.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple and conflicting interests.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
Three years or more related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
