The Senior Manager of Workload Sharing role within the Workforce Management Team is responsible for determining the strategy for and executing upon a set of strategic initiatives designed to optimally share work across our pharmacies and also across our broader enterprise. With over $6B in annual operational payroll under management, a number of opportunities exist for workload sharing across our roughly 10,000 pharmacies and 8,000 retail stores nationally.

The Senior Manager leads a cross-functional team designed to drive forward all dynamic elements of workload sharing. These elements include setting the strategic roadmap for this opportunity, driving out new workload sharing solutions, optimizing existing solutions, and ensuring strong senior leadership, field leadership, and store colleague engagement and execution of the solutions. This is a highly collaborative role that partners across the enterprise as well as with a number of functional teams including Operations, Regulatory, Legal, HR, and IT.

The Senior Manager will be engaged across all phases of new process development, including ideation, business case development, design and requirements, testing, and deployment. Building this roadmap will require rigorous analysis to identify opportunities, agile multiple mini-tests to validate the opportunities and then detailed business cases / requirements for those opportunities.

The Senior Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Workforce Management who is responsible for all aspects of labor management for the Retail Pharmacy, Retail Store, and Long Term Care business, including setting the labor standards, budgeting, scheduling, and workload sharing.

This role is based in our Woonsocket, RI office.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams, mentoring talent, recruiting new hires, and contributing to a positive work culture
  • 1+ year of experience designing, assessing, and optimizing health programs
  • Ability to influence leadership with clear and tailored communications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree, likely either a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Knowledge of CVS Health’s business and organization processes
  • Track record of driving net new innovation
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, experience with quantitative and qualitative research
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of related professional work experience in combination with education may be considered in lieu of a degree
