The Human Resource Manager will assist leadership in areas including training, recruitment, performance management, retention, policy and procedures, employee communications, employee relations and other HR functions. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training and Experience: Bachelors degree in human resource management, labor relations or related field; three years of responsible experience in human resources; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire date.Essential Functions1.Maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.2.Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.3.Assists in performing benefit administration4.Assists in handling employee relation counseling5.Maintains employee files in compliance with state licensing requirements6.Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.7.Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.8.Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action and conducts terminations as needed.9.Assists in coaching and guiding managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.10.Assists with recruitment and interview process including attending job/internship fairs. Tracks status of candidates and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.11.Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions as needed.12.Assists in maintaining and processing all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.13.Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems.
Reports vacation, sick, personal day and holiday use to payroll and scheduling. Maintains and distributes report of same.14.Assists in reporting, maintaining and monitoring all workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases.15.Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.
Maintains and distributes list of new and cancelled employees under each benefit plan.
