Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with product inquiries.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions and cash with accuracy.
- Perform merchandising tasks, including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement.
- Utilize effective phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist in training new staff members and provide supervisory support as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and performing retail math calculations accurately.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and cashiering responsibilities is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
