CCC is seeking an Accountant II to join our Accounting Department!
SUMMARY: The Reporting & Compliance Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of finance related contractual compliance requirements. This position will not only review existing fiscal policies and procedures to ensure adequate internal controls are in place and compliance requirements are being met, but will develop and recommend new and improved processes. The Reporting & Compliance Accountant will work closely with the Controller during and preparing for financial audits and will monitor federal sub recipients for grant compliance.
Duties will include:
Analyze all new funding contracts for compliance requirements, invoicing terms, and budget implications. Participate in contract approval meetings with the senior accounting team.
Create and maintain a master list of financial compliance requirements and important dates for revenue contracts with various Federal, State, and Local government entities, non-governmental agencies, banks, private entities, and other funders.
Research federal grants received by CCC based on federal CFDA information and assess impact to CCC policies and procedures.
-BS in accounting or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus.
-A minimum of five (5) years of work experience with interpreting contracts, analyzing compliance requirements, or internal audit.
-Excellent computer skills. Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word required.
