Job Summary

We are looking for a Social Media Associate to join our Corporate Communications team within our Marketing division. Your job will be to support corporate storytelling, with a social media focus on owned, earned, and employee activation. But enough about us; let’s talk about you.

You are able to balance working with different stakeholders and prioritize their priorities and goals. You are a positive individual, who remains calm and productive during times of change. You are comfortable working on projects even though there may not be a clear solution or outcome.

The Team: The Corporate Communications team is responsible for winning the hearts and minds amongst athenahealth’s external stakeholders. They tell compelling stories across earned PR, editorial content, corporate speaking engagements, and social media. This team is essential

Job Responsibilities

Managing external-facing social media content for our brand channels, marketing plans, presentations, employee activation guidelines, and corporate governance for social media
Social measurement and community management using tools for both program measurement and external trends analysis to drive internal program reporting and cross-team learning
Work with the team, across the business, and agency on ideation and strategy around content, media engagement, and social media tactics/ideas
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
3+ years of experience required
Agency experience in social media, PR, and corporate marketing OR in-house experience with a major brand like Fortune 1000 or Inc 5000. Tech or healthcare experience is a plus.
Tool proficiency is a plus, desire to learn a must (native social channels, Spredfast, SimplyMeasured, NetBase, Salesforce).
