Mechanical Engineering – Position Available
Control Technology is searching for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support our automated equipment design and build activities. We provide competitive salaries and benefits, and, challenging and interesting assignments to the selected candidate.
General requirements of the position:
Drug free, personable, punctual, dependable, and presentable.
College graduate with a BSME degree, PE license, and, 5 years working experience, minimum.
Experienced at conceiving, designing, analyzing, documenting, and testing sophisticated electro- mechanical systems for automation applications.
Must be able to obtain contractor security badges at our major customers.
Must consent to an employment background check at time of offer.
Additional personal, technical, and project management requirements:
Quality workmanship, error free work, and attention to detail are paramount.
Must work well with other engineers and technicians on multi-disciplined technical teams.
Must communicate well, verbally and in writing, with management, customers, suppliers, and co- workers.
Must be proficient with MS Office and MS Project software as a minimum.
Must be proficient with Catia or Solid Works and AutoCAD as a minimum.
Experience or interest in control systems and mechatronics is a plus.
Must be able to develop schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
Must be able to perform detailed technical work and keep projects on budget and on schedule, simultaneously.
Must be able to develop system design concepts and assist with development of proposals that include conceptual designs and descriptions, bills of materials, and proposal pricing.
Typical assignments and projects may include:
Development of electrical, control, and mechanical elements of automated systems used in aerospace, industrial, and municipal applications.
Design, fabrication, and testing of automated equipment and tooling such as winches, drive wheel systems, lifting or jacking systems, part forming presses, part testing and measuring equipment, and material handling equipment.
