ORACLE DBA - Logical
The focus of your role within Capgemini, what you do:
Production and non-production DBA support for Oracle databases in a fast-paced environment. Database and application performance tuning, support database problem resolution with OEM and sqlplus. Provide database object management monitoring and analysis. Analysis and tuning of SQL query, PL/SQL, indexes, materialized views utilizing SQL trace and TKPROF. Analysis of alert log errors with efficiency. Communicate and provide support for application teams to improve PL/SQL performance. Provide monitoring and tuning for application-specific problems such as long-running jobs and take corrective action. Perform DBA tasks such as database installation, patching, database replication, export/import, RMAN backup and recovery. Configure database backups with rman and netbackup. Comfortably monitor "health" of complex multi-database environment.

What you bring:
8+ years’ experience with administration of Oracle databases
MUST be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR restrictions
Strong technical knowledge of performance tuning of BI applications utilizing sqlplus and explain plan.
Strong knowledge with OEM, Diagnostic & Tuning packs, stats, AWR, ASH and sql profile
Familiarity with all functions of database objects and manipulation.
Hands-on experience with Oracle development tools
Hands-on experience with Oracle databases in UNIX/Linux and Windows environments
Must understand logical and physical data modelling design concepts
Monitor various coding and job design implementations as per documented standards
Strong knowledge of Multi-Tier architecture (Web, Apps, Database and DMZ Tiers) application environment
Maintain and manage database security policy and procedures
Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes and procedures
Manage deployments of code and patching cycles through non-production and production environments
Participate in On-call rotation
Ability to communicate effectively in stressful situations.
Proficiency with Linux/Unix shell scripting
Proficiency with Windows batch scripting
Strong proficiency in SQL tuning
Hands on experience with Oracle database upgrades and migrations
