Job Summary: The Senior Director Facilities Modernization will lead strategic initiatives to modernize, improve, and transform processes, systems, infrastructure, and technologies within our Operations and Government installations. This can include incorporating new technologies, enhancing infrastructure, and making structural changes to meet future needs. The position has a pivotal role in driving innovation, improving efficiency, and competitiveness by identifying and leading the execution of modernization projects that implement modern and cutting-edge technologies and solutions. Reporting directly to the VP Operations, this role is instrumental in shaping the future direction of the industrial base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive modernization strategy aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and business priorities while serving our customers’ interests.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify key areas for modernization and prioritize initiatives based on potential impact and feasibility.
- Conduct market research and technology assessments to stay current with emerging trends and opportunities for innovation.
- Conduct gap identification and analysis driving to unique and competitive solutions.
- Support and development of capture plans including technical, management, past performance, and pricing strategies and win themes for project proposals.
2. Technology Optimization:
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies and systems to modernize and streamline both manufacturing and business processes.
- Implement new technologies and upgrade existing/legacy systems through the insertion of new technology, and identification of areas for improvement, and drive transformation initiatives.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks and standards to ensure consistency, scalability, execution strategy, and security across modernization efforts.
3. Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing workflows, procedures, and practices to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks for improvement initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally to redesign processes, automate, and improve legacy operations and enhance productivity through the adoption of lean and agile methodologies through technology improvement and beset practices.
- Monitor and measure the impact of process improvements, adjusting as necessary to drive improvement and project completion on schedule and within budget.
4. Change Management:
- Lead change management efforts to drive organizational consistency and documentation for standardization and buy-in across all projects and business units down to the site level.
- Develop communication plans, training programs, and support mechanisms to facilitate smooth transitions and operational hand-over to minimize disruption.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, risk-taking, and knowledge sharing.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with business units, departments, external partners, and customers to align modernization efforts with strategic objectives.
- Act as a champion for modernization initiatives, advocating for resources, support, and commitment from all stakeholders.
- Robust customer engagement that leads to shaping our success.
6. Risk Management:
- Drive a comprehensive risk management process to address risk such as technology failures, budget overruns, safety, or disruptions to business operations. Lead project teams to mitigate these risks proactively to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
- Drive flexibility and adaptability into project risk planning to accommodate evolving business needs and technological advancements or changes in strategic priorities
7. Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- Establish action plans, major milestones, target dates, and key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and report the progress and success of modernization initiatives at all levels within the organization, to include customer engagements and reviews.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership, providing updates on project status, outcomes, and ROI.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for customer project reviews, as necessary.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify insights and opportunities for further optimization.
8. Leadership:
- Creates a culture of high performance through leading by example, empowering team, trusted advisor, championing a positive and safe work environment, and inspiring team to act with integrity, work collaboratively, meet commitments, and continually improve.
- Influences other functional groups to actively support project / initiative.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years proven experience in leading modernization initiatives, large capital project initiatives ($200M+), US government modernization programs, and/or change management programs.
- Strong understanding of technology trends, including process automation, digital twin, system integration, and data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team to execute large, complex construction projects. Knowledge of DoD contracting requirements and application to the business processes and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage complex projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive innovation. Proven ability to move concepts to implementation and completion.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead teams, influencing others to perform in a fast-paced and demanding environment, creating followership and achieving commitments and targets.
- Excellent communication (interpersonal, speaking, and written), negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Strong project and program management skills. Very organized with the flexibility to transition or manage many different projects at same time.
- Strong Business Financial Acumen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in project management, change management, or related fields.
- Knowledgeable of the Principles of Quality Management, Design for Manufacturing, Six Sigma and DMAIC, and Operational Excellence/CI.
- Bilingual (English and Turkish)
Other Requirements:
- Travel: >50%, to support other REPKON USA locations. International travel as required.
- Work Environment: Manufacturing sites, construction sites, and office work environment
- Background Investigation / Drug Screen: Required.

Pay: $180,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
