What You’ll Get to Do:
Apply your linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven roles. You will provide translation, transcription, and/or interpretation of foreign language communications, such as technical manuals, periodicals, audio files, and conversations into grammatically correct English. You will either serve as sole linguist or be part of a team of linguists supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations.
More About the Role:
In addition to translating and/or transcribing printed and audio source material, you will provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, provide analysis and reporting of translated foreign language source material, and provide quality control of junior linguists. You will also prepare and update databases of translated source material, scan intercepted data, and determine if pertinent to mission requirements.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
Minimum of ILR Level 3 proficiency in:
Arabic (Modern Standard – MSA)
Arabic (MSA) with Kurdish (Sorani or Kurmanji)
Arabic (MSA) with French
Arabic (MSA) with Turkish
Kurdish (Sorani or Kurmanji)
Minimum three (3) years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation.
In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas.
Ability to pass an advanced English test.
Master use of MS Office and internet research.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Current TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
Previous military experience.
Command of one or more regional dialects.
