American Midstream Partners, LP is a growth-oriented limited partnership formed to provide critical midstream infrastructure that links producers of natural gas, crude oil, NGLs, condensate and specialty chemicals to end-use markets. American Midstream’s assets are strategically located in some of the most prolific onshore and offshore basins in the Permian, Eagle Ford, East Texas, Bakken and Gulf Coast. American Midstream owns or has an ownership interest in approximately 4,000 miles of interstate and intrastate pipelines, as well as ownership in gas processing plants, fractionation facilities, an offshore semisubmersible floating production system with nameplate processing capacity of 100 MBbl/d of crude oil and 240 MMcf/d of natural gas; and terminal sites with approximately 6.7 MMBbls of storage capacity.

Objective
This position will be responsible for the preparation of quarterly and FERC tax provisions, maintenance of supporting documents for tax filing, various tax-related reconciliation processes and assisting with tax compliance, research and support as required.

Primary Responsibilities
Prepare tax provisions for quarterly and FERC filings
Perform calculation of qualified income quarterly or as required due to asset activity
Organize and maintain files supporting and documenting all tax returns filed and payments remitted
Assist with responding to notices and information requests issued by various taxing authorities
Accurately prepare and timely file sales and use tax returns
Reconcile sales and use tax accruals monthly
Research, analyze and compose technical memorandums and recommend application to the Company
Support the income tax compliance process
Assist with special projects
Other duties as required.

Physical requirements of this position are:
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading;

Works in an office environment
Minimal travel anticipated, possibly up to 5%

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required in field of Accounting or Finance
CPA License preferred
Three (3) to five (5) years of indirect tax related experience and some income tax compliance and/or provision experience required
Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with ability to engage in, prioritize, multi-task and take initiative in a fast paced and growth oriented environment.
Systems aptitude and process orientation; strong computer skills essential, including extensive use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) as well as proficiency in tax research tools and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, RIA Checkpoint)
Possess the ability to understand and analyze flow of data between various financial systems
Must exercise sound judgment, strong reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to conceptualize and assimilate data requirement and present proposals in a clear and concise manner
Ability to execute and follow-through to completion including documentation
Ability to adapt effectively to new and changing environment
Ability to work long hours during critical periods, such as quarter/year end reporting or special projects
Strong interpersonal and communication skills within all levels of the organization including both written and oral required
Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast paced and growth oriented environment.
