As a Claims Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the claims process, ensuring that each case is handled efficiently and effectively. Your role involves close collaboration with attorneys to develop strategies, assess risks, and achieve favorable outcomes for clients. By maintaining meticulous records, analyzing claims data, and implementing best practices, you help the firm mitigate risks and maximize client satisfaction. Your expertise in claims management is crucial to the firm’s overall success.
Client Communication and Problem-Solving:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and questions, allowing lawyers to focus on legal strategies.
- Proactively resolve client issues, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Response and Issue Resolution:
- Quickly respond to and manage the needs of clients to minimize potential disruptions to ongoing cases.
- Maintain a calm and solution-oriented approach under pressure, effectively mitigating risks.
Property Damage and Insurance Coverage Expertise:
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of property damage and insurance coverage to assess claims accurately and advise clients. Including property damage, medical payment benefits, health insurance liens, underinsured motorist benefits and uninsured motorist benefits.
- Ensure that all claims align with insurance policies and maximize potential recoveries for clients.
Personal Injury Case Management:
- Oversee the entire lifespan of personal injury cases, from intake to settlement, ensuring all steps are executed efficiently.
- Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
High-Volume Case Management:
- Capably manage a caseload of 250-300 files with the support of other team members, ensuring timely and effective resolution of each claim.
- Utilize strong organizational and multitasking skills to maintain progress across numerous cases simultaneously.
These responsibilities and skills highlight the ability to effectively manage client relations, complex legal processes, and high caseloads in a claims management role at a law firm.
Desired Experience
- 3 Years+ of professional experience in a law firm or other professional setting
- Transferable skills and alignment to the core responsibilities
- Experience with smokeball software as an operating system is a plus
- Associate’s Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in transferable field
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
