What does a great Software Test Engineer do?
As a member of the Integration Verification Testing (IVT) team you will be responsible for the creation and execution of integrated test cases across the six portfolios within our Card Services organization while following the Agile methodology. Each quarterly release will consist of many features that you and the IVT team test and validate prior to promotion to Production. You work closely with Core Product Teams (CPTs) and Delivery Teams (DTs) to ensure they deliver high quality products in a challenging environment.
What are some of the basic responsibilities for this role?
You will work with developers and business analysts to contribute to product design process including specification and other document reviews
You conduct complex testing projects and create & execute test plans/cases based on project requirements and specifications
You verify expected results and analyze application software to ensure quality standards are met and provide feedback to product development
You provide risk assessments and impact analysis for areas of responsibility
You support the entire test and certification process, getting involved early in the product development cycle and continuing through product deployment
You analyze requirements and design documents to develop comprehensive and efficient tests and test implementation strategies
You develop detailed test plans/cases from use cases, detailed specifications etc.
Execute manual and/or automated tests, document results and update defect tracking systems
Create test data as needed and participate in development and reporting of project metrics
Mentor junior associates in the areas of test analysis and planning

What are the required and preferred qualifications you will need for consideration?
4+ years’ experience in software testing required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field; or equivalent experience required
Strong analytical/technical background and experience with software development methodologies required (Agile methodology preferred)
Working knowledge of RDBMS concepts, SQL, Oracle or SQL Server, etc.
Ability to assess risk and impact of new features or changes to test team efforts preferred
We are ideally looking for team members with demonstrated ability to work on complex projects with extremely tight timelines
We require strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills
Industry Quality Certification and EMV are both a plus
