The Bursar's Office encourages applications for a Client Services Representative. This position assists constituents in person, by phone, and in writing and is focused on delivering high-quality service. This position analyzes student's billing accounts to resolve issues.

The mission of the Bursar’s Office at the University of Colorado Boulder is to efficiently enable and assist students and departments in meeting their financial obligations, with a focus on financial integrity and accountability. The Bursar’s Office is responsible for the management of key university financial resources and records and acts as a central collection point for university receipts.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Interacts with constituents and provides information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests via phone, e-mail, and in-person by interpreting tuition and fee accounts utilizing ISIS, CUBill&Pay, spreadsheets, and departmental websites.
Balances and resolves complaints by obtaining and evaluating all relevant information. Troubleshoots system issues when errors or problems are found and follows up on issues as appropriate to ensure accurate billing of students.
Provides financial counseling to currently enrolled students to help with future planning to help retain them as a student. Explains health insurance options as they relate to the student bill and explains how to systematically alter their choices in MyCUInfo.
Uses professional judgment while making decisions regarding past due balances on student accounts on lifting and placing service indicators for financial holds based on extenuating circumstances, credit history, and risk to the university.
Provides input for continuous process improvement.
Reconciles student accounts to validate the appropriateness of charges based on inquiries made by constituents, other departments, or through reporting by analyzing enrollment activities in records and enrollment screens in CU-SIS and matching those with how tuition calculation applied charges and credits to the account.
E-mail Management and Special Projects
Co-manages the Bursar's e-mail process by deciphering and researching information, completely and accurately responding to customers, transferring identified emails to pertinent departments and using consistent language.
Completes special projects as assigned such as assisting the department by coordinating the flow of tuition dispute petitions, researching lost refund checks, and assisting faculty/staff with the tuition waiver benefit program.

What We Require
Must be a current Colorado resident.
Two years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
