Basic Purpose and Objective
As part of the product management team, the Product Specialist / Associate Product Manager will provide technical support and sales / marketing assistance to our internal and external teams in support of STANLEY’s DC Electric and Pneumatic Product Line. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and writing skills. The role is a part of a growing, global team and will work within the global product management team to drive measurable results and improvements.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Product / Sales support:
Product and sales support via phone, email, on-site, and in-house for STANLEY sales, distribution partners and end customers
Product demonstrations and presentations with sales and marketing support and customer trials
Creation of and technical ownership of marketing content and collateral creation

Product development support:
Gathering product requirements, prioritizing feature implementations, evaluating competitive product / market and improving overall user experience
Assist in organizing beta site set-up, testing and feedback for new product development
Development of release notes and supporting documentation for software releases
Technical and customer feedback on new product development and customer needs
Designs and development of instruction manuals by identifying and describing information needs; submitting initial versions for review; revising and editing final copy.
Work with cross functional teams to manage product lifecycle

Marketing support:
Translate technical details into benefits for the user
Follow and analyze market trends to position products
Work with various teams (design, content, acquisition, product, sales) to implement strategies
Pricing analysis and evaluation

General requirements:

Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.

Education Required
A minimum of a 2-year technical degree is required (mechanical or electrical preferred), a 4-year degree is preferred

Experience Required
Power tool or hand tool experience or similar product specialist / associate product management support background
Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience as an Associate Product Manager and / or Product Specialist
Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills
Proven work experience in a cross functional environment with successful results
