Here at Doylestown Veterinary Hospital and Holistic Pet Care, our mission is to provide conventional and holistic animal care during all stages of life. Our current holistic treatments include acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, herbal medicine, TCVM, IV Vitamin therapies, fecal transplants, laser therapy, and customized plans. Our team understands that every patient and case is different, therefore we are committed to learning each client individually in order to educate the owner on proper care. We are committed to education, which is why we partner with specialist for the complex cases. We learn, as a team, from those relationships, and review and update our protocols frequently to keep abreast of medical developments and best practices. What You’ll Be Working On

  • Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care
  • Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
  • Contribute by delivering high-quality care to our patients
  • Engaging and communicating with clients to deliver excellence in service
  • Primary job functions include surgical prep, dentistry, venipuncture, radiology, and IV catheter placement
  • Assist the doctor start to finish with patient treatments, procedures, and animal restraint
  • Perform clinical laboratory procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment
  • Administer anesthetics or sedatives under the direction of a doctor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area related to animal science or Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a licensed veterinary technician preferred
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule, which includes working rotating weekend shifts and some evenings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
