Summary/Objective
Looking for experienced Class A or B CDL drivers, who are motivated and looking for work. Who are willing to work, operate trucks in a safe manner, and are dependable.
Essential Functions
- Ability to operate and load equipment of various sizes and weights which include loaders, excavators, rollers, and misc equipment.
- Ability to tarp, chain and strap your own load.
- Communicate effectively with job site superintendents, dispatch, external vendors and fellow employees.
- Safely transport materials or equipment to and from job sites.
- Must understand work directions and work efficiently to complete all needed tasks.
- Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.
- Report any problems to your manager.
- Perform daily pre/post- trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.
- Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
- Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections.
- Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
- Must be flexible in regards to work hours including evenings and weekends.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Two (2) years of industry related experience is required for this position. Effective communication with job site supervisors, fellow employees, and equipment department is key and must be able to understand work directions.
Schedule
The Schedule for this position is 7am-6pm Monday - Friday. There will be some days that will require working past 6pm depending on work load for that day.
Work Environment
The position regularly works near moving machinery and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, grease, and asphalt. Work is performed in all weather conditions. One must maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
Physical Demands
The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position will require long hours. Average 55 hours per week. Employee must have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency as required by management and/or project requirements.
Required Education and Experience
- Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
- Must be reliable/have reliable transportation
- Class A or B CDL (Required)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Class A or B Driving: 2 years (Preferred)
- Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state drivers license prior to employment.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,750.00 per week
