As the Senior Database Administrator, you will have the ability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. You will provide full support, coaching, and mentoring to team members to achieve results in design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability.
Bring your skill to Corizon Health and:
Develop, implement, and oversee database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software
Control activities backups with day-to-day maintenance such as creating, editing indexes and performing installations and upgrades
Provide technical leadership in designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing complex code and database architecture
Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers
Work with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures
Install and configure relevant network components to ensure database access as well as database consistency and integrity
Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets
Install and configure new SQL Server instances
Analyze and deliver recommendations using SQL Server statistics and execution plans
Maintain SQL Availability Groups
Meet company Recovery Point Objective and Recover Time Objective requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
10+ years database administration
Proficient in SQL Server 2005-2017
Microsoft certification such as MCDBA a plus
Strong understanding of SSIS and SSRS
Hands on experience with scripting languages such as Powershell or Python is a plus
Knowledge or hands on experience of Azure Tools and/or Azure Data Tools (Azure SQL Databases, Managed SQL instances etc.)
Experience using Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies for the DBA
RedGate ToolKit and SentryOne experience a plus
Experience using IDERA Diagnostics Manager or Solar Winds Monitoring Tools
Occasional travel up to 15% to correctional facilities, regional offices, Client and/or vendor sites. Subject to on-call or after-hours work to resolve database problems or meet implementation deadlines
Expected support for nights and weekends as need
