Winter Park Memorial seeks to hire an RN Clinical Process/Performance Improvement Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Work Hours/Shifts:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Job Summary:
The Clinical Process/Performance Improvement Coordinator works in collaboration with administrators, physicians, patient safety officers, and other clinical team members to improve patient safety and quality. Is actively involved in working with the campus Patient Safety Officer and the campus Leadership Team to ensure that the organization is in a constant state of regulatory compliance. Serves as a facilitator for projects and performance improvement teams utilizing a variety of Performance Improvement (PI) methodologies embraced by the organization including PDSA. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate performance improvement teams
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Basic Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) computer skills
Three years of experience in a clinical setting
Associates Degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field, such as Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, etc.
Demonstrated leadership in the area of Performance Improvement (preferred)
Problem solving skills (preferred)
Process Improvement skills (preferred)
Project management experience (preferred)
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in healthcare related field (preferred)
One to two years of management experience (preferred)
Three years of acute care clinical experience (preferred)
Experience in healthcare quality/performance/process improvement (preferred)
Lean training (preferred)

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Current, valid State of Florida licensure as a registered professional nurse (RN) OR
Professional clinical license in healthcare related field, such as Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, etc.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)

Utilizes regulatory knowledge and understanding of CMS, Title 22, other regulatory agencies, and other State and Federal regulations to improve patient safety and quality.
Utilize knowledge to assist or lead activities of continuous survey readiness)
Conduct audits related to MOS and/or develop tools for auditing
Analyze audit data and identify opportunities for improvements
Facilitates and coordinates Patient Safety and PI projects with campus administration, campus PSO and the Office of Clinical Excellence utilizing Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) methodology.
Serves as a consultant to Campus Core Measure process owners.
Assists with campus Regulatory Performance Review.
Supports Patient Safety Officer with Safety WalkRounds.
Supports Patient Safety Officer with annual Safety Culture Survey.
Participates in system Process/Performance Improvement Teams or Performance Improvement projects as requested.
Participates in campus Patient Safety and Quality Committee by attending and presenting results of performance improvement teams, or other projects as assigned. Attends designated campus or system committees to support PI initiatives.
Prioritizes and organizes to meet deadlines for data analysis, team coordination, presentations and other assignments.
