The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Systems Engineer Entry Level Operations Controller to join its Chantilly office, with the majority of work being performed in Springfield. This position requires supporting a 24x7 rotating shift schedule.
Selected candidates are required to have a Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering classification by December 2019.
Space vehicle commanding, telemetry monitoring, alarm management, routine maintenance and contingency responses
Mission management and mission planning interfaces and equipment, routine maintenance and contingency responses
Identification and development of required processes and procedures to be used by all controllers
Reporting status and discrepancies in system performance in a concise manner
Developing and maintaining partnerships across multiple contractor lines
Expected to be the system expert in his/her discipline, obtain and maintain certifications, and support a rotating 24x7 shift schedule

This position requires Pre-Start Top Secret/SCI security clearance (US Citizenship required) with polygraph, and is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's degree or higher by December 2019
Support a 24x7 rotating shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Minimum Bachelor's degree in an engineering classification study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Education or work experience in systems engineering
Engineering degree ABET accredited
Experience assisting in any of the following engineering areas: analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification or product assurance or any other specialties engineering discipline
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
