Looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to work Full-Time for the night shift at Brazoria County Jail Medical Department located in Angleton, TX. We operate on 12-hr shifts. Shifts start at 5:00 PM and ends at 5:30 AM. LVN base pay rate starts at $25.00 per hour and will be based on experience. There is an additional $1.10/hr shift differential added to the base pay.

Our medical team is responisble for providing health care services to the inmate population during their incarceration. Many inmates in our facility require care for their chronic illnesses and for undiagnosed illnesses. We will see patients who are injured or require emergency care. We expect our staff to be compassionate towards their patients and professional towards all individuals.
Job duties include:
- Responsible for administering and reading PPD TB tests
- Intake Physicals for new incoming patients
- Administer medications
- Triage walk-ins and provide medications as per protocol
- Enter new orders in the EMR
- Respond to Emergencies
- Perform Treatments
- Review and respond to Sick Call forms
- Complete paperwork on patients released to other agencies
- Working with patient family to ensure we are receiving all information we need to care for their loved one.
