What We Are Looking For:
Teladoc is hiring a Temporary Benefits Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. You will also assist with various other HR functions.
**PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARY!!**
What You Will Do:
Administer leaves of absence in partnership with company’s third-party administrator with demonstrated knowledge in FMLA, PFL, ADA, STD, LTD, PTO, Personal and Parental Leaves. Serve as liaison between employee, Leave Administrator, Payroll and HRIS specialist.
Effectively interpret the coordination of all leaves and initiation of ADA. Work closely with managers through the ADA process and manage communication as appropriate.
Process worker compensation claims in coordination with OSHA.
Produce weekly status reports for the communication of leaves with Managers, HRIS Specialist and Payroll Team.
Primary contact for maintaining and administrating benefits programs in partnership with benefits vendors (carriers, brokers, ThinkHR, etc.) for the research, troubleshoot, and resolving escalations for benefits inquiries.
Responsible for communicating benefits enrollment process to newly benefits eligible employees including approval in UltiPro HRIS including management of EOI/Beneficiaries forms.
Collect and manage Life Events changes including calculation of retro-premiums for the payroll team.
Manage the ACA monthly tracking process and communication to employees.
Ability to perform FSA discrimination testing in partnership with vendor.
Manage HR email box for benefits related inquiries.
Audit and reconcile benefits vendor billing invoices. Manage vendor payment.
Assist with the planning, implementation and coordination of various events such as Well-being Initiatives.
Ability to respond to general 401(k) inquiries and review documentation for Hardship distributions.
Responsible for the maintenance of information in SharePoint as it relates to our Well-being and Benefits pages.
Provide monthly HireRight background screens results to the Compliance Department.
Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of interfaces sent to benefits vendors as well as issue resolution.
Assist with special projects as needed including the ability to provide data through Excel expertise.
High School or equivalent required
Strong ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously with close attention to details and high level of organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
Strong knowledge with FMLA, PFL, CFRA, ADA, STD, LTD, company paid parental leave, Workers Compensation and OSHA.
Experience with the admiration of the Leave of Absences process during the transition of two carriers is a plus.
Proactive team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel(filtering/sorting), PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS experience with UltiPro is a plus.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in Benefits and Leave of Absence administration.
Demonstrate and apply functional benefits knowledge to solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
The employee will be exposed to a fast-paced environment and is expected to be able to adjust accordingly
Experience with temporary staff is a plus.
