We are looking for a traveling Area Sales Manager for our Home Health division to cover the Northeast US. Experience leading a medical sales team needed. Position is to manage sales teams in several locations, coach and evaluate sales performance, diagnose issues on sales team and fill temporary leadership vacancies. Associate will assist on driving sales campaigns and function as a sales consultant to different Brookdale Home Health agencies. Will involve 80% travel. Salaried position with bonus plan and full benefits.

Works in conjunction with VP of Sales Strategy to direct and lead sales strategies to grow partnerships for BHS Home Health and Hospice in key accounts. The Area Sales Manager provides thought leadership and guidance to field sales leaders and operating agencies on market strategies and sales tactics. The Area Sales Manager uses tools, technologies, and market knowledge to identify, prioritize, and develop plans for strategic business partnerships. This position works closely with the VP of Sales Strategy and the Director of Sales Operations to ensure the delivery of corporate sales initiatives, tools, and processes to field sales.

Works with the VP of Sales Strategy to identify key upstream account partnership opportunities for BHS Home Health and Hospice. Utilizes analytics tools, local BHS leadership, and corporate directives to prioritize market opportunities.Partners with AVPs, SDSs, and agency leaders to develop and execute Home Health or Hospice agency growth plans by utilizing market data, competitive analysis, and local knowledge.Develops strategies and execution plans for increasing the referral volume in identified key accounts. Works with local agencies to ensure successful pull-through of key account strategies.Uses industry knowledge and market intelligence to develop valuable partnerships for BHS in adjacent industries.With the guidance of the VP of Sales Strategy, produces and delivers effective C-Suite sales presentations to identified Hospitals, ACO's, and key accounts.Provides field coaching to selected agencies to improve the impact of HHC/HCC sales efforts. Uses market knowledge and experience to provide effective feedback to sales representatives and sales leaders.As needed, works with BHS Sales Operations to ensure the delivery of high quality training, tools, strategies and guidance to the field sales team. Provides exceptional communication both in person and remotely.Provides training, coaching, and development of sales teams and/or sales leaders as determined appropriate.

Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or other related field preferred. Minimum five to ten years of experience in marketing/sales, with a minimum of three years managing sales team members required. Experience in business to business sales at the C-Suite level is required. Experience in home health care, hospice, and healthcare with management responsibility is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and SkillsPossesses extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment. Has a working knowledge of a functional discipline. Knowledge and understanding of the senior healthcare market and various post-acute services, including home health and hospice. Knowledge of sales and marketing to include principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services to include marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, analytics and sales control systems (CRM). Highly skilled in all forms of communication (i.e. oral, written, presentations) at team, peer and executive levels. Ability to motivate and develop staff within all product lines and positions.
