Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Store Operator
Salary Range: $8.00 - $11.00
Territory/Location: North Carolina – Piedmont Triad
Position Summary: Zesto is currently seeking a fun, smart, and highly motivated associate to join our team. We have full-time and part-time positions available. The individual must be able to multitask between food preparation, sanitation control, cleaning, quality control, safety requirements, and service needs. This is an entry level opportunity and no previous experience is required. However we do required motivation, dedication, commitment, proactiveness, and positive energy – we will provide you with comprehensive training, workshops, and mentoring that will help you develop a solid career pathway that leads to upward mobility and growth.
Essential Functions: The essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Be friendly to everyone;
Deliver a great experience;
Maintain high performance standards;
Sanitation – empty trash, clean line area, sanitation buckets, and etc.
Side work – as assigned by management (cleaning, stocking, and miscellaneous duties);
Clean-up duties – dining room, parking lot, line area, grill, fryer, floors, cooler, and freezer;
Cost control – food rotation, portion control, loss due to improper use of company property;
Specified preparation of all menu items, cooking skills, which includes quality as well as timeliness;
Dedication to excellence
Seek new challenges and opportunities;
Learn different skills, responsibilities, and cross train;
Ability and willingness to work long hours, including some weekends;
Regular evaluations and inspections for assigned department or area;
Consistently participate and engage in all team meetings and conference calls;
Coach and mentor employees when needed on new processes and procedures;
Actively seek opportunities to grow through education, networking, and mentors;
Build relationships with employees and customers to retain and generate new business;
Strong knowledge of corporate culture, roles of staff members and budget performance;
Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Actively monitor retail operations and provide feedback to ensure profitability goals are met.
Actively seek ways to promote Zesto within the local community through service and other activities.
ServSafe certified is preferred;
Demonstrate ability to thrive in a restaurant environment;
Ability to multitask and prioritize between multiple projects;
Previous experience in food and/or hospitality services is preferred;
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced team environment while possessing excellent self-motivational skills;
Computer savvy and experience with various software systems, an intermediate Excel proficiency preferred.

Phelan was an inventor, businessman, and CEO of the Taylor Freezer Corporation, which in 1945, had created the “Zest-O-Mat” soft serve ice cream machine.
