We’re looking for a Sales Development Contractor to support our Sales Team and help grow our enterprise business – Countable Action. As a Sales Development Contractor, you will play a key role in building our sales pipeline in order to support our rapidly growing business. You will coordinate closely with our sales organization to research, prospect, and create opportunities for partnership across verticals from media to nonprofit, corporate, candidate campaigns, and public affairs. For example, our current partners range from Starbucks and Tesla to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and NBCUniversal.

In this role, you will often have the first (and therefore the most important) opportunity to share Countable’s story and value proposition, so you will be responsible for initiating a relationship that sets the stage for effective sales follow-up. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and compelling storyteller by phone. They will also have a team-player mentality, be willing to take coaching immediately, apply constructive feedback, and demonstrate flexibility and savviness in outreach across verticals from media to nonprofit, corporate, public affairs, and others.


We are hiring for a part-time and hourly rate position, with the potential to develop into a full-time role. The role is based in our San Francisco office in SOMA, and attendance in the office is preferred. The starting salary is $15+/hr plus sales lead commission, with an ideal start date of September 1st.


  • Methodically research prospective clients to understand fit and opportunity
  • Conduct initial and thoughtful outreach to targeted leads
  • Present knowledgeably about Countable and its products via both phone and email
  • Create sales opportunities, becoming a resource and developing relationships with prospects
  • Engage with industry-leading organizations, across verticals, who are active around policy, social responsibility, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase partner interest in Countable products
  • Collaborate with the marketing and accounts teams to create new outreach collateral


  • Experience with research, lead generation, or cold call sales
  • Strong presentation skills by phone and in-person
  • Compelling communication and storytelling skills both verbal and written
  • Experience with G-Suite & Google Spreadsheets
  • Outstanding attention to detail with superior time management and organization kills
  • Passion for testing, measuring, and improving outreach and follow-up efficacy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, scrappy, startup environment
  • Ability to work from our San Francisco office
  • Experience using Pipedrive is a plus

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
