RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a Fortune 50 financial services client seeking an API and Microservices Developer in Wilmington, Delaware (DE). The Microservices Developer will define, design, develop, test, deploy, and support microservices that comprise mission-critical enterprise applications. You will also share your knowledge with other developers.

Essential Functions:
  • Automate development, testing, and deployment processes
  • Develop Microservices/API's
  • Stay abreast of cutting edge technologies/trends and use experience to influence application of those technologies/trends to support the business
  • Contribute to the technical direction of the project

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of minimum experience utilizing Java platforms and technologies for development of mission-critical enterprise applications
  • 5+ years of Java and Spring Boot experience
  • 2+ years of functioning in a team lead role
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented principals
  • Experience developing software using domain-driven design (DDD) approach
  • Experience defining RESTful APIs and developing RESTful Web Services
  • Experience building applications based on Microservices Architecture
  • Experience working with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
  • Practical experience with NoSQL database technologies; preferably Apache Cassandra
  • Working knowledge of utilizing and administering Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (e.g. Git, Subversion) for software development
  • Experience in a variety of relevant technologies including Postgres, SQL, Cassandra, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Java, Spring Boot, NoSQL databases, Elastic Search, Docker, Microservices architecture, and JavaScript; JavaScript and common frameworks
  • Expert in core Java and design technique as well as experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems/infrastructures for large-scale programs
  • Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, and security
