Performs benefits administration, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
BWC, FMLA, and disability insurance administration and reporting.
Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance.
Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all human resources matters.
Communicates changes in the organization’s work force policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
Maintains and recommends changes to the human resource information system that meets the organization’s human resources information needs and compiles reports as needed.
Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on human resources matters. Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems to improve efficiencies.
Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
Work with 3rd party Administrator for employees enrolled in COBRA. Advise TPA when employees are eligible or enrolling.
Assists with recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees
Orients new hires to the organization by providing education on policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, business systems, and product offerings; leads the onboarding process and new-employee orientations
Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing as needed.
Maintains organizational health, safety, and wellness programs for compliance and to strategize solutions to offset rising costs
Meets with CFO and Investment Committee to review 401(k) plan investments, performance, and related documents
Supports CFO in analyzing benefits for strategic selections and competitive offerings and pricing
Delegates tasks to Administrator with approval from management.
