Technology Issue Management is the front line group within Technology Control focuses on the management of issues identified by our stakeholders. Issue Management provides a transparent, consistent, repeatable process through a standard accountability model that facilitates effective risk remediation across Wells Fargo Technology. The Issue Assurance team provides independent assurance of effective and sustainable remediation of significant issues from all sources (regulators, internal and external auditors, and control functions as well as self-identified issues). Issue Assurance assesses whether the remediation steps taken address the root cause of the issue, to challenge conclusions and agree final issue disposition.
The Front Line Technology Issue Assurance Manager will provide expert guidance related to closure readiness and preparation of closure materials including: Managing a team providing primary support to regulatory and resiliency issues, with the opportunity to review other risk related issues across the firm; ensuring rigor of corrective action completion with traceability back to the issue; evaluating process and control sustainability; ensuring effective communications across the life-cycle with timely escalation as appropriate; Escalating material concerns and issues to Senior Leadership and Governance forums; proactively contribute towards developing detailed procedures, guidance and FAQs for the Issue Assurance process and identify, assess and prioritize process improvements / system enhancements.

10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management
3+ years of management experience
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
A BS/BA degree or higher
Other Desired Qualifications
10+ years of experience within an Enterprise Technology function, Audit or Technology Risk function with demonstrated knowledge of Technology systems, applications, infrastructure and emerging Technology and associated risks in a business environment
5+ years management experience with demonstrated leadership skills and strategic ability to execute operational risk management programs including regulatory life-cycle management
Experience managing information Technology risk programs that align to a Technology Business function
Experience in compliance, operational risk, IT systems security, business process mgmt. or financial services, (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk)
Broad and significant knowledge of Technology and the associated challenges, risks and required controls inherent in a complex environment, including knowledge of SDLC (particularly Agile), Change Management, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Vendor and third party, Data, Artificial Intelligence / Robotics and Process Automation, BCP / Operational Resiliency, problem and incident management, access management, asset management, compliance, information security, Audit/SOC/SOX, and general line of business regulatory requirements across retail banking, lending, capital markets, wealth and investment management, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of Technology and Security risk frameworks – COBIT, FFIEC, NIST, ITIL, COSO, BASEL, and OCC Heightened Standards
Track record of providing constructive consulting with appropriate issue escalation and offering solutions
Strong ability and experience working with and collaborating with leaders and team members at all levels and across functional lines.
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead in a matrix environment both domestically and internationally
Professional certifications such as CPA, CSCP, CRCM, CGTECHNOLOGY, CRISC, CITP, CISA, CISSP
Familiarity with business continuity, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency.
