Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented GM Finisher Operator to operate and maintain our Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM) Finisher, GM Die Cutter, and GM Laser Cutter machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in print finishing, with specific expertise in die cutting, laser cutting, and a commitment to producing top-quality finished products. Your primary objectives are to improve quality, eliminate rework and claims, and improve efficiency while also providing the best customer experience and lead times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
- Follow proper procedures as instructed.
- Ensure high quality operation of Finishing equipment.
- Operate finishing equipment in a safe manner with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance to all principles and standards for finishes (Thermal, Lamination, OPV) and slitting.
- Perform quality test using testing equipment for validation.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Support other areas of production as needed.
- Exhibit understanding of materials and top coats and their various applications.
- Use system to track material usage and properly advance to next step in production process.
- Additional duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years of related experience required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM) Finisher, GM die cutter, and GM laser cutter machines in a printing environment.
- Strong understanding of finishing processes, including cutting, die cutting, laser cutting, laminating, slitting, and rewinding.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Ability to communicate in a tactful and professional manner
- Quality mindset with emphasis on continuous improvement
- Able to make decisions in a timely manner.
- Ability to troubleshoot and think analytically as needed

Physical Demands:
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Walking and standing throughout the day as necessary to perform job duties
- Frequent bending, pushing, and pulling
- Work safely with various chemical solvents by using personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Mindful of safety risks. Report all safety issues.
Work Environment:
- A large percentage of work time is spent in a climate/humidity controlled environment. Noise level can be moderate to high.
- Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.
- Warehouse environment temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
