Job Description

Pennoni is currently looking for a Senior Highway Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Leading and managing projects for DOT, locally administered transportation projects, and private development roadway projects
Roadway geometry and highway design; transportation grading plans; erosion and sediment control; hydrology and drainage calculations; water and sanitary sewer layout; traffic control plans; roadside development plans
Basic knowledge of engineering principles, such as calculations and profiling; storm water management and basic stormwater pipe design
Managing client relationships with Public and Private clients, including contractors
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to younger engineers and technical staff
Coordinating highway design tasks with traffic and bridge staff

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements:
Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum years of work experience: 10-15
Licenses Required: Professional Engineer in PA
Computer skills required: Basic knowledge of Microstation and AutoCAD
Familiarity with current design standards (PennDOT, City of Philadelphia, Township codes, etc.)
Efficient use of other applicable engineering software (StormCAD; AutoTAB, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Looks for and seizes opportunities to improve work products

Preferred Attributes:
Has a sense of pride and ownership in work product
Ability to work inddependently within a group setting
Involvement in professional organizations and establishing client relationships
Inroads, Civil 4D experience is preferred, but not required
