It is the responsibility of the Area Supervisor to manage and direct the nightly cleaning technicians. In this role, they must audit and manage productivity and quality, while ensuring standard cleaning processes are understood and followed. Finally, the Area Supervisor must be effective at communicating the results, needs, and concerns after each night to the Operations Manager. This position is for the Northern portion of customer accounts, mainly Auburn, Kendallville, and Ligonier.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Manage & Direct All Night Employees
1.1 Verify Clock In / Clock Out
1.2 Communicate clear instruction for the night’s work
1.3 Adjust staffing to cover for absences
1.4 Audit productivity and quality
1.5 Train new employees on proper cleaning processes
1.6 Communicate performance/attendance issues to Operations Manager
2. Monitor Equipment & Supply Needs
2.1 Verify that each location is stocked with the proper chemicals and supplies
2.2 Communicate chemical and supply needs to the Operations Manager
2.3 Verify that all equipment is in good working order
2.4 Communicate equipment needs to the Operations Manager
3. Complete All Required Administrative Tasks
3.1 Adjust Clock In / Clock Out times to reflect actual work
3.2 Provide Operations Manager with a daily performance report
3.3 Document all requests and requisitions
4. All Other Duties As Assigned By Management
Must have 2 – 5 years of supervisory experience managing a labor force in multiple facilities.
Cleaning Services industry experience preferred.
Must be able to work 2nd/3rd shifts along with weekends.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
High school diploma required
Valid Driver’s License with good driving record required.
Able to pass and maintain drug screen required.
Background check clear of issues with the exception of traffic and other minor violations required.
