East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Medical Technician for our Heath Center at 6 John H. Chafee Blvd, Newport, RI and 1048 Stafford Road, Tiverton RI. We are seeking a highly professional and motivated individual who enjoys working with women and children up to age 5 to safeguard against nutrition risk. Join our growing team and provide reception services to our WIC clients.
The WIC Intake Technician will warmly greet and intake patients who arrive for their appointment. He/she will perform initial assessments of patients including obtaining height, weights and hemoglobin testing including documenting data in medical record and database.
The WIC Intake Technician shall be responsible for accurate collection and entry of data in participant electronic records. Scheduling all of WIC appointments, such as: certification, mid certification follow-up and benefit insurances.
The WIC Intake Technician shall be responsible for submitting an office and medical supply list of items necessary to perform all intake screenings to the WIC Director monthly. Such items include: required forms, e-WIC cards, alcohol preps. 2X2’s, band-aids, gloves, etc.
Attend all required State WIC Office trainings and meetings.
The WIC Intake Technician is required to have a High School Diploma/equivalent. Bilingual: English and Spanish
