I. Job Summary

The Oracle EBS Financial Expert will be responsible for evaluating the procedures and technology systems utilized by the organization in order to develop insights into how to make changes to assist the business in operating more efficiently.
Key requirements of this role include Oracle Projects Accounting experience and an understanding of how the processes of each department impacts business output from the Projects configuration. Additional responsibilities include recommending hardware or software needs, best practices, and procedures in order to assist management in implementing strategic business function improvements. As such, this position will partner with technical, financial, and operational business groups to meet these objectives.
Experience in construction and/or a professional service background is preferred.
II. General Responsibilities
Provide direction and support in coordination with IT systems manager for Oracle R12 applications, including General Ledger, Project Billing, Project Contract, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurements, HR, and Cash Management.
Serve as the Finance functional owner in analysis, design, development, and testing cycles for customizations, upgrades, and interfaces to Oracle and boundary applications.
Reviewing current Oracle R12 configuration and develop business process improvement recommendations based on Oracle recommended best practices.
Communicate, co-ordinate and prioritize finance projects with IT by establishing a priority list of requests.
Manage Oracle Finance Help Desk and respond to end user support tickets. Escalate tickets to appropriate individuals as needed.
Ensure R12 is appropriately secured and audits the security features to ensure only authorized access to data entry and control of changes.
Work closely with department leadership to gather functional requirements for Oracle applications or 3rd party boundary applications that may interact with Oracle.
Interact with leadership and end users to gather reporting requirements and prepare functional design documents for EIS report development.
Leads the development team in understanding the business requirements as it relates to each functional area
Help define acceptance test objectives; assist in system and integration testing.
Work with business customers, developers and Oracle Support to research, document and resolve Oracle system issues.
Create SQL queries against Oracle tables to troubleshoot, develop metrics, and create ad-hoc reporting as needed.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Administration of User provisioning and security. Ensure compliance with best practices
Provide/coordinate training, develop user manuals and training manuals
III. Secondary Job Functions

Minimum of 10 years IT experience, with the following specific experiences: Oracle E-business suite up to and including the newest R12 configuration, implementation, migration, and administration.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
R12 Oracle Projects Accounting expertise
R12 Oracle General Ledger Management Fundamentals.
R12 Oracle Sub ledger Accounting Fundamentals.
R12 Oracle Financials Accounting Hub Fundamentals.
Knowledge of data migration processes to Oracle from other E-suite solutions mandatory
Expertise working with boundary custom workflow solutions required
Experience in implementing and supporting Oracle ERP Applications.
Ability to analyze and resolve difficult technical issues quickly in a high-pressure environment.
Experience in running Oracle E-business R12 including activities like Patching, Cloning, Replication, System Administration, troubleshooting in HA and DR environments.
Good knowledge of SQL.
Experience administering Oracle EBS Financials, Supply Chain, and HR/Payroll applications.
Experience administering Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communicational skills.
Must be available on weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
Use of hands for computer work.
Periodic standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
