The Children’s Clinic, Serving Children & Their Families (TCC) seeks a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills for the Development Assistant position. The position of Development Assistant will provide administrative support for the Development Office. He/she must be creative and enjoy working within a small team environment that is results oriented and patient and community focused. The ideal Development Assistant will pay attention to detail, be a self-starter and have a continual drive for excellence in her or his work.

In addition toproviding administrative support to Director of Development and Communications,responsibilities include:

  • Managing and tracking donation and fundraising data in Raiser’s Edge NXT, Online Express and Everyday Hero. (Will train on database)
  • Assist with report generations, research, planning, application, development, implementation, and management of grants through local, state, and federal offices.
  • Manage information in MS EXCEL Spreadsheets
  • Perform Mail Merges in MS Word
  • Perform assigned support tasks related to administration side of donations/fundraising/events
  • Assist in preparing monthly reports for ongoing grants
  • Help organize and set up meetings as requested.
  • Assist with public relations, facilitate and support agency events
  • Provide administrative support to include telephone coverage, copier projects, mail handling, supplies control and necessary communication internally and externally.
  • Support gift processing and manage gifts by creating and tracking gift agreements and letters of intent
  • Regularly update fundraising progress reports


  • Bachelor’s Degree (Will consider grad students with strong related internships/experience)
  • A minimum one to two years of related experience in an office setting with demonstrated success.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience
  • Proficient in utilizing cloud-based systems
  • Must be a strong writer with the ability to write in a number of different styles for widely varying audiences.
  • Highly proficient computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of social media.
  • He/she must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; and also be able to work creatively, while functioning as a member of a cooperative and coordinated team.
  • Must demonstrate a client focused approach in both spoken and written interactions
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities and projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through with an emphasis on accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Previous non-profit, health center experience preferred

The Children’s Clinic, "Serving Children and Their Families" (TCC), was founded in 1939 by a group of physicians and community leaders who recognized the importance of access to healthcare for all children, particularly those who are from low income families and who are at risk for health problems. Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 /hour
