Trade Show Carpenters Local 491 of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council are skilled professionals who build a variety of world-class events across the Baltimore-Washington, D.C., region.
Our carpenters are members of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, and we work under the guidance of a contractor partner with the protection of a union contract.
Our members are specialists, trained to build and install interior and exterior venues from the ground up, usually in a matter of days. We build exhibits, displays and stages. But we also build opportunities and memories for our partners and the people who attend our events. Events constructed by trade show carpenters are world-class and some of the largest in the country. Consider Presidential Inaugurations, Major League Baseball’s All-Star Games and the annual Awesome Con pop culture convention. Your work might take you to the middle of a World Series parade, a college basketball tournament or even the White House. Whether it’s building stages, hanging banners or creating custom displays, trade show carpenters can do it all.
We also work closely with the public, so customer service and satisfaction are priorities. Training includes technical carpentry skills as well as communication and other soft skills.
Trade show carpenters enjoy tremendous flexibility in their schedules. Many members enjoy extended time off around the December holidays and have downtime in July and August, just in time to enjoy the warm weather with family and friends. The trade show carpenter space provides an opportunity to work with your hands in a safety-first environment without being tied to a desk as part of the 9 to 5 grind.
