This Senior Associate position is a junior consulting staff position based in Tampa, Florida. This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical ability and a desire to advance within the organization. Ideally, the candidate will have knowledge of health care contracting, billing and reimbursement and will have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL. The work of a Senior Associate can be either qualitative or quantitative in nature, and projects range from industry and subject-matter research to data collection to the preparation of statistical, financial, and other forms of analysis.

Develop and maintain electronic databases, spreadsheets and other files as dictated by project needs.
Perform detailed research and analysis, then put the results into action (e.g., gather, review and summarize literature and data from the public domain, specialized industry resources, or client, public and commercial databases).
Perform detailed analysis of health care claims and/or other health care data sets.
Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions.
Audit own work product and work product of others to assure quality.
Participate in a team environment and work hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Participate in group practice meetings and travel as needed.
A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in the areas of economics, finance, accounting, statistics, econometrics, health policy, health care administration or other related subject.
1 to 4 years of prior work experience.
Experience working with health care data (e.g., claims data, encounter data).
Audit experience with Big 4 or other major accounting firm, preferably in the health care industry.
Familiarity with health care contracting, billing and reimbursement.
Proven capability with Microsoft SQL Server and/or other analytical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, MS Access, MS Excel). A desire to expand those capabilities is required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and/or Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) accreditation.
