We are actively recruiting a Senior Analyst to join the Corporate Development team in our El Segundo, CA office. The Sr. Analyst will work closely with leaders and teammates across Corporate Development, Contracting, Corporate Strategy, Finance and Operations to drive growth strategy and develop partnerships with major healthcare institutions, insurance providers and integrated network strategies through analysis and assessment of internal and external factors.

The individual will be responsible for evaluating key financial and strategic considerations relating to institutional partnerships across the nation and will play a critical role in assessing the viability of new opportunities. The role will also provide support to contracting and operations teams for ongoing deals negotiations, in addition to analysis associated with payer relationships, institutional partnerships, and network development to achieve strategic and clinical goals.

The position will support a team of highly motivated individuals with consulting, banking and clinical experience and will be expected to successfully manage multiple work streams independently and effectively communicate analyses within the team and with senior executives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform rigorous analysis of operational and financial impact of potential contracts and partnerships in new and existing markets
Provide analytics in planning and executing strategic physician network and membership growth initiatives
Support department leaders in managing relationships with current and potential payor and provider partners
Create predictive financial models for use during contract negotiation with health plans, hospitals and providers
Evaluate alternative payment models (e.g., bundled payments, capitation)
Understand upcoming changes to healthcare landscape both nationally and locally in key markets (e.g., legislation, CMS requirements and programs)
Create and maintain dashboards that track and summarize oversight metrics across network and partnership functions
Effectively communicate findings of analyses, the value of those analyses, and the impact of those analyses
Develop and present memoranda, presentations and detailed financial analyses to senior management
Research, review and screen potential partnership opportunities
Document scope-of-work requirements, ongoing partnership strategies, and project deliverables to advise department managers on partnership and network performance

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Analytical bachelor’s degree preferred (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, Finance, Economics, Applied Mathematics)
1-2 years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, corporate finance group, corporate strategy department, business development department, or similar experience required.
Analytical skills: Strong quantitative background; Comfortable aggregating multiple, often nuanced datasets into streamlined analyses. VBA, SQL and/or other programming skills highly preferred.
Knowledge of Southern California healthcare, hospital systems and medical group dynamics preferred.
High energy, accustomed to working in a very fast-paced, team-oriented environment and can easily build internal relationships to facilitate and expedite key business development priorities
Problem solving skills: Creative problem solver experienced in generating and testing hypotheses, either independently or with a team; able to structure ambiguous problems
Presentation skills: Skilled storyteller able to thoughtfully describe and summarize analyses in PowerPoint
Communication skills: Highly competent communicator adept at synthesizing complex ideas and providing concise, executive level summaries that accurately reflect analyses
Management Skills: Able to drive multiple pieces of work forward simultaneously; able to effectively coach and mentor new teammates
Desire to be part of a fun, hard-working team!
Willingness to travel (up to 20% of time)
