We are currently looking to hire a Sales Development Representative (Inside Sales) in our Alexandria, VA office to support one of our strategic sales territories in North America. This is a sales position with a focus on delivering the CPA Global Patent Search & Analytics value proposition to uncover and qualify new sales opportunities and set appointments for outside sales reps. The position focuses heavily on outbound sales activity on the front end of the sales cycle to identify prospects, set appointments, and manage inbound leads.
Supports a strategic territory of assigned accounts managed by an outside sales rep.
Works on a territory team in close collaboration with the territory’s outside sales rep and a customer success manager according to a territory plan.
Regularly searches for prospective contacts in assigned accounts for use as sales leads, based primarily on web research.
Identifies prospective customers via outbound phone calling and email campaigns.
Makes outbound phone calls to identify prospects’ pain points & needs, and sets up face to face appointments for assigned outside sales rep.
Meets or exceeds an individual activity and appointment quota, and supports group quotas and goals.
Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads, set appointments for outside sales team, and sell products and services.
Participates in on-going sales and marketing programs.
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the company’s sales CRM.
Prepares thorough, tailored, and professional outbound responses to prospects as well as responses to client requests for information.
Builds CPA Global reputation and brand awareness through consistent promotion of the company philosophy.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
1+ years working in inside sales or marketing a plus.
Experience with Salesforce.com and add-on client engagement tools a plus.
Knowledge of intellectual property desired but not necessary.
